I am having trouble trying to back to stock recovery. I tried replacing the recovery with the provided stock but when I rebooted the phone it gave me a warning sign.

I could be wrong, but I think that image you're showing is normal for the recovery mode. If you hit one of the soft buttons at the bottom (I think the HOME button), you'll see the recovery menu.

You're right the stock recovery opens to an image of the Droid standing in front of a triangle with an ! In it. Hitting the back button I believe is the way to bring up the options. May be the home button though, I forget which for sure.
