Back up your phone prior to going back to stock so you can restore it from the most latest backup if you need to. Are you going back to stock to troubleshoot the touchscreen issue or are you returning it to Verizon? If you're returning it to Verizon, inspect the refurb very thoroughly (see my "refurb poo" thread). There's a stock PG05IMG zip out there somewhere that makes it really easy to revert back to stock. Also, you can try loading just safe mode to troubleshoot, if you're doing so yourself. I say if you're still having issues with the touchscreen in Safemode then it's definitely not software related. Good luck!

Ummm yeah going back to stock won't fix that. If it's just water damage, you can try the old trick of taking it apart (battery case, memory card, SIM card etc) and putting it in some dry rice for a few days so the dry rice absorbs the water. If it has physical damage, good luck getting Verizon to give you a 2nd look.

I'm going to bring it back to Verizon and let them deal with it. Make them do some kind of work for all the money I pay them!

i am fairly certain you can flash mr2 over rooted firmware without a security warning, but i dont know it for sure, and have never done it,so try that at your own risk.

the safest thing to do would be to flash the shipping firmware(1.12.605.6) as described here: simple unroot and then let your phone OTA itself to MR2.

Back to stock and downloading the OTA now.
