Root going for another esteem

i recently called asurion about the phone i recieved april this year (replacement) asurion sent me a paid in full bill and stated i need to print it out and take my phone to a corporate store because of the lagging and what not,so its still under warranty so,what the heck,trade it in and see how the next one will do?anyone has any suggestions,or a question you would like me to ask about everything that is going on with the esteem,feel free to post and as soon as i get it bk to the out of box state ,ill be heading there,so let me know guys thanks!!!

I would like to know if your esteem is having the same problems as mine when you get it... Have your 4G turned on at the store before you leave, and hopefully you can drive through a bad coverage on your way home and have it drop to 3G on your trip. Let me know if your esteem is auto switching back to 4G on its own?

yes when i leave my house wifi looses then 4g kicks in then wen i gt bk home wifi pops bk up,but wen i plug my fone in at night to charge i wake up next morning and its on 4g,not wifi,until i unlock fone then it fixes itself,i rarely see 3g come on the fone,hell i dnt even kno if it has 3g

Well mines does that . I thought that's what it was made to do . The wifi wont run if its in sleep mode cause the screen isn't on . Soon as the screen turns back on the wifi should engage again. The only way you can keep wifi on would be to cancel all service . Now the 3g problem you are having i say try a manual programing. This is where you do the ##626* and when that pop up box come out you would need to put in that spc number . And edit all MIN ,MDN AND SID .when you done hit the END BUTTON let the phone shut down and power back up . Leave it for about a 35-40 min and do the *228 and 5. If this don't work change the prl to 2035 or have metro refresh your min .

i dont use this rom but why cant he go into settings wireless & networks wifi settings tap the menu button then advanced wifi sleep policy my wifi is set to never shut off even if the screen turns black

also something to try is to replace your sd card i had one that made my phone go slow for some reason got a new one and with more room and now i have no probs

See that we all helping each other i forgot about that and never had any worries about that portion . Cause if i didn't use the data for 5hours that is 5hours of unused data.
