Going from iPhone to galaxy nexus

Newbie
Hello all,
I am new to this forum as I have had iPhones for years. Finally realizing android has passed apple. Have read some things about battery life. Does the stock charger charge the phone quick? If not is there another charger that is more powerful? Also what is the best car charger? Im getting the nexus Monday or Wednesday. Any other help would be great also.
Thanks

The charger that comes with the phone fully charges it within about two hours. I don't think it's healthy for your battery to charge it too fast. You may wish to see if you can still grab the extended battery (which is hardly larger than the standard battery) for 50% off. It adds a decent bump in battery life for $25.

And welcome to Android. You're going to be blown away by a phone that doesn't restrict everything you try and do.

I can charge in about 90 minutes through wall, 4 hours roughly through usb on computer.

Best car charger - from what i've been told a standard microUSB that puts out 1 amp should be what youre looking for.

welcome to android, I left apple about 18 months ago and will never go back!

If battery life is a huge concern of yours, take a peak at the Razr Maxx. That is purely the only reason I'd recommend it over the Nexus, however. And also, welcome to the forums, we're all here to help you out if you have any questions!

I have had MANY Android phones in the past and about a year ago I switched to the iPhone4....then about a week ago I switched to the Droid Razr for 2 days and now I currently have the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon.

Any questions you may have and I'm sure these fine folks here can help you.

Welcome to the forums!

My GNex usually charges from sub-10% to full in about 2 hours with the stock wall charger. I switched to a third-party wall charger I got from Wal-Mart (for size convenience - I have an Asian market model so the stock charger needs a North American adapter) and it's about 2 hours with that as well.
