going to be my third phone =(

So my first phone overheated...exchanged it for another..and everything works great no overheating... but it cannot keep signal for anything. I even tried to flash to dj05, this morning I woke up and it said it was 80% without signal, while my other phones have no issue. It keeps fluctuating I will see 3 bars, then no bars and will go from 3g to 1g constantly. If I try to hit a web browser or market..i get a lot of network errors... I am going to have to go back to best buy and exchange again.. I love this phone except all these issues I am starting to give up. Verizon support said should not be seeing these issues at all unless there was an issue in my area.

so just to give an update..i got my next phone..so far phone is working as it should except battery gets drain over night by about 35%, and settings says 65-70% without signal. If i leave my house I am fine like go to work, it just here I get horrendous services. Long story short I emailed verizon telling them how unhappy I have been seen Verizon is suppose to be best network and if i am getting this from best network cant be any worst Long story Short I got a call from a level 2 technician, who actually knew and understand how radio transmissions work, not just do this on your phone and see what happenes. He spent close to an hour on phone trying to figure what is going on. Anyway he put in a field service engineer for my area basically where i live and 5 mile radius. He can actually see my phone go from 1g to 3g in under 15 seconds, and does it over and over again. He said I should have an answer in 48 hours...i am not holding my breath. One thing I notice at night I am turning on the Wifi and leave it while going to sleep and disable all syncs email/facebook and so on, I dint need my email sync every few minutes while I am sleeping. I am going to go to bed with wifi turned on, because I think using wife turns off 3tg which is what I want. Lets hope this does it!!!

It does, but by default wifi sleeps when the phone sleeps, so 3G gets back on until you power it up again.

Go to Settings->Wireless&Networks->Wi-Fi settings->(Menu button)-> Advanced->Wi-Fi sleep policy and switch to "Never", or leave the thing on airplane mode (or on the charger!) overnight.

Awesome you might have saved me...will find out tonight! Here the thing I actually got a call from Verizon site support and they told me they did a site survey and that I am on the fringe of coverage from tower and nothing they can do. Only thing to suggest is Verizon Network extender...but I am not paying money for it though he lowered price to $99. Supposedly will help boost signal in house. What I told them never understand all 3 of my psat previous phones work excellent, no drop calls, at least 2-4 bars, mostly average 3. Now here is a phone that can barely keep 2 bars if i am lucky..goes up and keeps trying to connect to 3G every few minutes draining the battery. What I don't understand is why only my phone is having issues? Specifically draining battery? Why are the other phones not squawking? Does that mean I should return the SF (don't think I can away), because SF just stinks at maintaining signal in a good area let a lone a bad area? I have considered to just return this phone and try something else Maybe a Driod X see if they get better coverage in my house..or maybe even consider go to another carrier...not sure if i want to go that drastic yet. Truthfully just wish it will work out because I do like this phone.

ok that seemed to do the trick I only lost 4% overnight being on wifi and it said in cell standby time without signal 0%

So I guess that is the trick to keeping my battery from being drained, just glad I have wifi or don't know what I would do
