im not familiar with the pda net way but i assume that by using that it allows you to connect hero to pc? there should be drivers there for you to install (according to the walkthough)

install them and enable usb debugging, settings->applications->development->enable usb debugging

then continue to the fun part :D

yes exactly what you see in the walkthough copy and paste step by step..you can even click on the youtube video and watch it as you go along to make sure what happens on your screen is what happens in the video too

lol haha
okay im on step 6
and it is supposed to say enjoy the shell
however
it doesn't say that

this what it says

No, if you still have that screen open, just type "adb shell" again to launch adb. Then try that command again. When you typed it, you were just at a normal windows command prompt and adb wasn't running. Looks like it exited somehow.

So...

Code:
adb shell
Code:
/data/local/as2root /system/bin/sh

After you chmod, you still should be in the adb shell - your commands are directed at the phone, not your computer. You shouldn't be getting the C: prompt at this point. Just start over.

The good news is that your computer and phone are communicating correctly.

okay i just got back from Panera
