Good bye HTC Desire

After almost a year I am giving up my HTC Desire for SG2. I had a mental battle as to whether to upgrade or not. Ultimately wrong side of the brain won and here I am with an SG2 making my HTC Desire obsolete. While I love the SG2, I will never forget the Desire which brought me to the world of Android from iOS. I loved every minute I spent with my Desire rooting, flashing roms and endless customization and in doing so this forum played a huge part. I just wanted to thank all of you who helped in different times. So, THANK YOU ALL.

On Monday, I will be in the exact same shoes as you!

The sad thing is, is that I'm genuinely feeling sad, whilst reading and writing this post! The Desire. It was just soo good, and it was (for me) my step up from Symbian. It brought me into the HUGE world of Android, a thing called the "market" where you can just download apps "like that" and the world of browsing....ON A PHONE!!! Not to mention the world of AMOLED vibrancy and 3.7" goodness! I think I might frame it onto my wall somehow!! :p (because the Desire certainly isn't going to be stuck in a dusty drawer somewhere!)

The GSII has got a huge hole to fill in my life and boy do I hope it steps up!

Everything the sgs2 can do the Desire can equal OK it not got 2.3 / dual core / bigger screen n a few more things BUT my desire still do more than I need it to do...too much infact lol... effectively I feel its worth waiting like the posters say above - the generalities of sgs2 are to close to my desire.

Except screen the Samsung screen is supposed to be phenomenal

Ohh, it is! It's amazing. To be honest the GSII, is worth it if, you've got a free upgrade and you haven't rooted yet. However if you rooted than I suppose the Desire's still doing everything you need it to do.
