Wife has HTC Desire, and her contract is nearly up, so we decide to go to phones4u to see what's about. We eventually decide on a GS2 White, 200 mins with 250 mins O2 to O2, and they pay for the remaining 2 months of her contract.
As all of her close family are on O2, the extra 250 x O2 minutes come in handy. The monthly payment is

Is she happy with the HTC Desire - if so you may want to give Giffgaff a look. Sim only, loads of minutes and texts, plus free calls to other contacts on the same network.

My wife has my old HTC desire, rooted running Mildwild and she loves it. gets around the low internal memory issue.

I have just got myself a GS2 and am very happy with it. We used the internet quite a lot whilst on holiday in Scotland. We searched for local places to eat out and it even directed us to the doorstep. It was great to post updates and pictures to Facebook and keep others updated on what we were doing.

Don't forget there are many apps and widgets that use data in the background, such as updating the weather.
