Good Holster that Does Use Magnetic Clasp???

I originally purchased a holster off of ebay that was meant for an iPhone (seeing as they're about the same dimensions), but its clasp is magnetic and will randomly confuse the phone into thinking it's in car mode.

I just got another case (

this one) that has a velcro clasp and was marketed for the Droid. Well...it came in the mail today and my phone definitely doesn't fit in it.

Has anyone found a decent holster that doesn't use a magnetic clasp? I found that verizon has one, has anyone tried it? I don't ever use the belt clip, so I'd like to get a case that the belt clip is removable.

Thanks :D

I bought the simple little Droid holster that they sell at Verizon and it works quite well. I does have a magnetic clasp, but is evidently shielded to keep the phone from being "confused." I was about $29, which I thought was a little pricey, but not too bad and suits my purposes very well. It completely covers the phone so it you knock it off your belt, it protects the phone and it doesn't look bad.

Magnets are used to activate the Car Mode and Dock mode. If the magnet in the holster is strong enough, it will cause the phone to enter one of these modes (even if the back of the phone, which is where the "magnet receptors" are, is facing away from the magnet).

My Pouch looks identical to this one, but has magnetic closures - no velcro. I have yet to have it screw with the docking functions on my phone. I bought it from the Verizon store and it was specifically for the Droid.

The Droid fits well in it though? Does it cover/protect the corners?

I always used a holster with a magnet for my Treo. With the droid, I went with the minimalist plastic with a clasp from verizon.

If you put the droid in with the screen toward you, it stays protected. I assumed I would be hitting the clasp on stuff occasionally and it would let the phone fly out, but I only did that once in three months. Easy access, some screen protection, relatively cheap.

Looks like Verizon does not offer that online anymore.. Something like:

Seidio Spring Clip Holster for Motorola Droid - Android Central Store
Droid Accessories for cheap !

I second the HTC leather case mentioned above. I went to best buy and tried every case they had in stock. The HTC leather case was the only one (with magnets) that didn't put the phone into car/dock mode. I've had it for months now..zero issues.

That's the one I use, not had any problems with it.
