Good launcher software

Looking for a good launcher app. I am torn between go launcher and next launcher. My question is all the things that they warn you about when you sign up. Does it really call numbers without you knowing. Any input is appreciated

I've used both and no neither one calls numbers. In fact I'm using the free version of next launcher right now.

Been using GoLauncher since I had a Galaxy S2. I've heavily customised it (my own icons etc) and am happy with it. Never had a problem with ads. It does suffer from slowdown occasionally though. It's normally liquid smooth but there are times where it stutters enough to be annoying.

I think it's time for a change so I'm gonna give Nova a try.

Really need to also look at Nova Prime..
An awesome launcher..

I'd been using launcher pro for years, but it won't installment on the n3 so I heard about Nova ands if does almost everything I need/want except for home screen rotation. I've read about the paid for version, but I'm not sure I'd need rotation that much or anything else the paid has.

I have Nova Prime installed on my Note 10.1, the Note 3 & 8 are running stock. Franky I do not see a substantial performance difference.

Using the free version go to your home screen and click your phone's Menu button and choose "Nova Settings".

Then you will be taken to a new window of options to which the menu option "Look and feel" will be shown if you scroll down the list of options.

Enter inside that menu option and then you will be taken to a new list of menu options to which "Screen Orientation" option will be shown.

Enter inside this menu option and choose "Auto Rotate" to enable screen rotation in Nova free.

Great!! That worked, but now how do I get rid of the Google search area on the left?
Found it! Disregard.

Nova, Apex, and Next would be my 3 top choices...in no particular order.

I'm currently running Next and LOVE IT!!!!!!

Been using Nova Prime on my last 3 phones. Tried Apex, Next and some others but Nova beats them all for options, flexibility and minimal problems.

SkyJackpot, I never knew about the homescreen rotation in Nova. Now you're going to force me to have a landscape version of my wallpaper.

Tried both Nova and Apex and did not like how they couldn't fit the Active Apps widget with others. OK with TouchWiz until Google Now comes out with their legit version.

:argh:

I use Nova on my 10.1 and Go on my Note 3. I was having issues with Go on my 10.1 so I had to find something else.

Another satisfied Nova Prime user here... The only thing I missed about TW is the stock calendar app but Pure Calendar widget is almost as good and has kept me using Prime.

I was also a dedicated Launcher Pro user and regret now paying for the pro version. Nova Prime has all of the things I loved about lp and more. And it is still supported. It's well worth what they charge for it.

Android pro widgets is a fantastic widget app alternative for calendar, but also has other useful widgets. It's something i always recommend in launcher threads.
