Goodbye Netflix + Blockbuster?

Im actually pretty excited to see this, netflix is garbage and never tried Blockbuster but I have always liked redbox. Curious to see what they do with their streaming though and what type of selections they will have

That's interesting. I really like Netflix because they have a big selection for kids. My girls love watching all the old school/cheesy cartoons via Netflix. I hope they don't remove it after what it took to finally get that app over to Android Market. We just started using Redbox ourselves and am also interested in what they plan to do with this partnership.

Ugh! Good bye Redbox hello V-Cast movie rental, V-Cast Streaming, and higher prices. Thanks Verizion!
I think you nailed it here sorry to say. Redbox is great, when redbox and Big red get together its going to cost you more so sad.

If they deny blockbuster and Netflix on Verizon phones because they own some of red box and rather have that on their phones. That's called creating a monopoly and against the law. Like years ago with a land line phone and bell telling you that you could only have at&t for your long distance service.

Thank you, someone who is rational and not just caught up in hate for Verizon(not saying there's nothing to hate though)

I am quite happy with Verizon. As I had the blue deathstar before big red. Terrible network, slow to upgrade said network. Customer service that was worse than getting someone from India.

This is absolutely not a monopoly. They undoubtedly sold Netflix and blockbuster the space on their phones to begin with. Now they'll just not sell them the space. Don't know where you got the monopoly problem from.

A monopoly issue might come about if redbox was the only place in the country to rent a movie from, which it isn't last I checked. Or, if Verizon made it impossible to use the other apps on their phones so that you could only put redbox on the phone; that would be an issue.

Dude, go back and re-read the posts. They refer to Verizon DENYING the other apps. I think your last sentence is exactly what they were talking about.
