From that thread it almost sounded like you were going to stick it out longer, though.

Truth be told, I've only had it for 2 days with limited testing with it - so I guess I'm not a good person to be able to judge it, but no issues yet.
 
Ok well after almost 3 weeks of going back and forth with VZW over phones they are now sending me a brand new Droid charge will have tomorrow... Only took 3 phone calls alone today.... Not including countless other days...

That's awesome man, glad to see they are finally taking care of you! What do you think about the Charge so far? I sold my TB and am headed in a different direction than the Charge but I would still love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Yep.... I sold my Bolt and ordered another fruit phone :p. In the meantime I am using my daughters Incredible and I do have to say it was my favorite Android device.

But I could never choose between IOS and Android. I am very fond of both and am excited to have both in the household :D
 
yea im toying with selling the charge when i get it and buying an iphone straight up but dont wanna drop the unlimited 4g since it just hit the area... not sure what i wanna do.. everyone i know who has an iphone says im stupid if i dont do it... but yet my heart lies with droid... choices choices..

IDK, if I had 4G where I live I might have considered keeping the Bolt or picking up a Charge but 4G is still a couple years out where I live. I was excited to be able to use the 4G while traveling up north but last time I was in the big city I couldn't find a 4g signal to play with anyways :(
 
well finally got the new charge only took lke 6 days on an overnight shipment... must say so far impressed with it over the tbolt but not sure if im going to keep it or not... may sell and just go droid 3... lack of notification light is weak sauce but im giving it a go for a week or 2 and see...

I just bought my wife the Charge and am regretting my decision to buy the Thunderbolt for myself in May. Will VZW switch it out for me? Does it matter if I bought from wirefly?
Help me join the ranks of the converts!!!

Get the Charge from your wife, let her use TB. :p
 
all in all im happy with this phone except for a couple of things... weight issue feels like nothing cant tell if its in my pocket or not all the time scares the hell out of me... and no notification light.. at least verizon let me keep that samsung continuum spare battery charging kit so i have a spare battery granted its a lower capacitive battery than the stock charge..now my next gripe is wherre the hell are the accessories for this thing.. i want a case but i cant find a decent one anywhere...

My Charge arrives tomorrow and my tbolt goes back.

Ebay has a few decent cases. I only use TPU cases and ebay have a good black one. I will be buying extra batteries for the Charge from ebay as well.

I went to the swap meet here in San Diego last weekend. My daughter bought a cool TPU case for her 4th gen iPod touch for $6. It's a great case and you can't beat the price. I'm going back this coming weekend to get a case for my Charge.
 
I like the lighter weight charge. No more TB brick in my pocket. I use the reminders on handcent and email to replace the lack of LED. works great
 
Other than a suggestion to pawn my TB off on my wife (not going to happen), no one responded to my question about how all the folks responding to this thread are switching out their TBs for Charges. Are you all within your 14 days, or is there a low-cost way to jump ship and join the Charge brigade?

I am one of the many who has jumped from the tbolt to the charge. I received my tbolt the day it was released so I'm way past my 14 day return window. My situation started about a month ago when 4g didn't work for 12 days. I called 2 times to report the issue and was told that I should not keep my phone on 3g (didn't work on 4g at all) and that the sr verizon techs sent out a memo stating this. I requested to speak to a supervisor. He gave me the typical song and dance but I was able to get him to commit to giving me a different phone if the replacement he insisted I take had the same issues. He committed to call me a few days later to follow up. He didn't call so I called back. They saw the scheduled call and messaged the supervisor to call me. He didn't call. Of course the replacement had the same issues as well as new issues. I sent the crappy CLNR back and kept my orig tbolt. The issues seemed to go away until the headset jack broke. I called and request to speak to a different supervisor. She was awesome. Didn't argue a bit and placed the order for the Charge at no cost.

Tbolt going back tomorrow.

I would suggest you start calling on every issue. Make sure you document the time of the call, the CS rep you spoke with, and what the call was about. Build your case for a replacement phone other than the tbolt.

Just received my Charge and same thing, it arrived with no charger, no back and no battery. I was able to get verizon to put a credit on my account of $42 and went to the local store and picked up a back and a battery, as far as the charger...my thunderbolt charger was the same. Loving this phone so far, hope u decide to keep it...I have 4g at full strength again really really enjoying this phone. .need to sell my Thunderbolt accessories now
 
My charge arrives today without the battery. The battery cover was shipped before the phone. Verizon was kind enough to give me a $40.00 credit to go to the store and get a battery. I went into the store and the guy I spoke with told me to buy the mulitmedia desktop dock. It comes with a charger, battery, and the cradle. It has an extra discount right now of 10% plus I got a 25% corporate discount. The dock package cost me $40.
