Goodbye to the Ally

Idunno

Android Enthusiast
Well, the day finally came. There was a thread a few months back asking http://androidforums.com/lg-ally/423739-would-you-leave-ally-dx.html , and I stated that if a good deal on a DX came along I would jump at it.

It's everything the Ally was and more. The bigger screen and boost in processing power and memory is just what I was looking for, and now after having successfully rooted it and installing Liberty I couldn't be happier... it is the ROM of ROMs. The only drawback is yes, typing on the screen which I am quickly getting used to and is not nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank the Ally community and especially all the developers who put in countless hours of work making it as good as it could be and helping me along the way. This is what got me interesting is being a root user and using custom firmware on my phone and I will never again be a slave to a locked device.

Velocity team, D2A, stormdroid team and everyone else... thank you, and so long.

That was weird for me when I got my Evo. You'll get used to it in a few weeks.

And, just saying, CM7 is the ROM of all ROMs.
