Goodbye

Just upgraded to a Samsung transform ultra with sprint. This phone iis awesome.

Enjoy your new phone & the unlimited data.

Smart move,IMHO,to upgrade @ this time, especially w/SPRINT,for the unlimited data,in the possible event that once SPRINT has successfully completed their 4G LTE rollout, that SPRINT may do away w/unlimited data, except for existing customers being grandfathered in(hopefully/probably).

Also,to others considering to jump on the SPRINT bandwagon, keep your eyes open for deals (free) on all existing 4G WIMAX phones from SPRINT,as they will not be releasing any more new models w/the 4G WIMAX technology.

SPRINT has promised to support 4G WIMAX in areas already covered w/it until 2015,so,if this is in your neighborhood, you wouldn't be getting a phone that's obsolete anytime soon.

Once again DMajor239,enjoy your new phone!

Thanks everyone!! :D

Just curious, not saying the Transform ultra isn't a nice phone, but why not go with the LG Marquee? Better specs and it's free as well.
LG Marquee and Samsung Transform Ultra Free for a Limited Time On Sprint

Because this phone was a gift lol.

Thanks! And one quick question. Whats WIMAX?

Another Ascend owner departs the ranks.....but this day is coming at some point for all of us, love it or hate it. Congrats on the upgrade, I bet your head is swimming with the realization of just how far the Ascend was extended, and how much more there is out there in terms of performance. I'm still getting used to my HTC Droid Incredible being so much faster.

By the way, your question about WIMAX. It's easier to link you than to explain:

Yes I do realize now how far the Ascend was extended. We really are lucky to have had devs working on custom ROMs for it. But about the WIMAX, so it's basically 4G but just a different type?

Yes, Wimax is the 4G network that Sprint has been using. However, they will soon be switching over to LTE (like Verizon, Metro, and recently ATT are using) I don't know if your phone is 4G, I don't think so, but Sprint says it will maintain its Wimax network for a few years for current users, it just won't be expanding it or coming out with any more Wimax compatible phones.

Figured, since I kept on hearing that "LTE is the futrure" and no my phone is only 3G but I don't mind it.

3G or 4G,nevertheless,it's still a nice phone,especially since it was a gift.

ENJOY & once again,CONGRATULATIONS!

Hell yeah, you can't beat free! It looks like I'll be stuck with 3G myself unless I leave Cricket. Now that Lightsquared got effectively shut down by the government, who knows when their 4G network will become reality?

Try START UP AUDITOR,I've been using it for over a year now.Good app,it keeps most downloaded apps,& some system apps from running on start-up/boot.
You can select which apps will start on boot & those that you wish to not start until you're ready to open them.
Also,if you have downloaded apps that persist & keep re-starting,just let the developer know which one(s) it is & he'll work on resolving it.

Is Start Up Auditor safe?
I'm tired of having to manually disable after every restart, plus kill data in the app so it doesn't reappear. Even it's it a memory hog, after it does it's thing I'm thinking I can kill it. Easier to disable 1 app than 21? I do this mostly with the bloatware on my Commando GZ1 c771 (built m150).
It's no longer available on Play store, and I can only find it 3rd party at Soft 112.
The reviews I've read are great but their all a few years old.
Any feedback would be appreciated!
Thanks!
