When trying to associate my gmail account with my desire (bought from china, unlocked(?)). Still in china, put in an at&t sim card first. No data plan. Any way, I can't get it to work. When trying to sign in, it gives me an error: can't establish a reliable data connection to the server. Followed by: This could be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. if it continues, call Customer Care.
However, I can use internet from my phone. If it matters, the Wifi i'm using is an internet sharing from my macbook pro, hooked up to a hotels ethernet.
