Help Google+ Bug?

I noticed earlier that my google+ was eating through data so i downloaded my data manager and in the 15 minutes of monitoring it ate over 40 mb and i didnt upload anything. The entire time Instant uploads was enabled my droid was hot and my battery was down to 31% after 2.5 hours off the charger. After I disabled instant uploads it cooled off. I checked my verizon data and normally on my fascinate I would burn ~225mb a month and I am at 13 days in from reset and 2 days with my droid I am at 360mb.
