Help Google Calendar help needed....

Hey everyone, I don't know how long this has been going on but, I just tried to look at my Google Calendar on my laptop, and it shows that i have zero appointments or scheduled events on my calendar. I primarily use my GN 2, and enter my job schedule on it. I tried to go throught the steps on the google calendar settings menu, but have had no luck. Has anyone here experienced this and found the solution? Another thing that puzzles me is why, when I un-check the Samsung calendar, does my google calendar schedule disappear? I dont even look at my Samsung calendar.
My laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad Yoga Win8....

Help or sugestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I've noticed that you have to add appointments using the Google Calendar app rather than the Samsung calendar, otherwise it doesn't sync with Google. You can see your Google appointments on the Samsung calendar though, you just can't add them.

I only have my "Google calendar" ticked in the Samsung Calendar app and anything I enter on my Note 2 immediately shows up on my desktop PC in Google Calendar.

Similarly anything I enter on my PC in Google Calendar immediately pops up on my Note 2.

So in the Samsung Calendar app I have:

select all unticked
my calendar unticked
Google Calendar ticked
Samsung Calendar unticked
Samsung tasks unticked
Contact's birthdays unticked

I went into the Samsung calendar app and did, i think, what you did....and my Google calendar stuff all disappears. So rechecked everything, and it all comes back. ....Frustrating.

At least it all came back!

Untick everything apart from Google Calendar and enter an appointment in your phone. Does it appear in Google Calendar on your desktop PC?

Have you got Google sync turned on as well?

I just gave that a try too....nothing showed up on Google calendar. I have been using the google calendar app for as long as it has been available, and it has always synced, basically automatically. I must be doing something wrong. I am going to try it again tonight when i get done working.

I think, even with Google calendar checked AND Samsung calendar checked, all dates and appointments are stored under the Samsung calendar by default. Does that sound right? I have to go through and enter all my appointments and dates on my laptop, then turn of my Samsung Calendar and I should be all set....i hope. :) Going to try it tonight.

I think that will work. I'm setup the the same as Nobby and it took me a couple tries to get it all working the way I wanted. Sorry I can't remember the exact details.

From the calendar app, go to create a new event. At the very top it should say Calendar and just below that it may say "My Calendar." If so, it is saving to your Samsung calendar by default. Click on Calendar and choose your Google calendar instead.

That is my experience too. I add things on the Samsung Calendar app and they appear on my pc in my google calendar as long as I make sure that I'm saving it to my google account and not "My Calendar."
