Help Google calendar suddenly not syncing

About two days ago the calendars on my Hero became blank. I ran a sync manually, I went into Google on my laptop to make sure the calendar was still there, I power cycled the phone, but nothing helped.

I added one new item to the google calendar via laptop, and it does show up on the phone's calendar. But only that one event. All the other events still do not sync.

I have had the Hero for a year and a half and have never had this issue before. Anyone have ideas about how I can get the calendar to begin syncing again?

I am moving this to the troubleshooting section. Have you tried toggling the calendar sync off and on?

What happens if you add a calendar entry via your handset? Does it show up on your laptop?

Yes. I tried this a few times. Didn't help.

If I enter something on my phone, it does show up on the google calendar on my laptop. Plus, if I enter anything NEW on the laptop, it shows up on the phone. But the items I have had on the calendar from before a few days ago will not show up on my phone.

I have not reset the phone to factory settings yet. I was hoping not to have to do that!

I fixed it (at least for now). First I uninstalled all my fancy calendar apps.
Then I did this: Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Calendar>Clear Data.
Then I popped out the battery and rebooted the phone.
Then I manually re-synced all google info (calendar, contacts, mail).
My calendar data has indeed reappeared on my phone. :)

That is great. I am glad you figured it out. :)

Thank for you reporting back on your solution to the issue. It just may help someone out in the future. ;)

THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU!!!

I was having the same issue with my phone this week and was totally lost without my calendar. Your fix worked for me too.
