Google connectivity WiFi vs data

Love my HTC one M8 so far! However, when I try to use Google apps over WiFi it tells me there is no connectivity. :confused: I know that isn't the case though.
 
have you verified your browser is able to connect to the internet? Several things can cause this, including the phone having the wrong time/date.

Go to Settings > Date and Time > Make sure the date is correct, if not then set it to the correct date, and if you need to, time.

You can also go into settings > accounts >google > menu> remove, and re-add it and see if this resolves the issue
