google contacts

ive just put all my contacts to google and turned off the sim contacts in my settings, its all workin fine but when i go to send a new text all the contacts are doubled up, how can i sort this out cheers

I had that problem on my Incredible. I deleted all the contacts and resynced them.

Resync, then if still doubled up, go online to your google account and merge the doubled up ones and resync. Google should recgonise the doubled up ones and recommend them all for merging, takes about a minute in total.

I also had the same problem. What I did is this: -

1. Export contacts to a CSV file on the microSD card.
2. Delete all contacts from the phone.
3. Import contacts from the CSV file as Google contacts.

You can also merge duplicate contacts by following the instructions here: -

You can manually sync contacts by going into Settings - Accounts & Sync - Google, make sure "Sync contacts" is checked and then click "Sync now".

when i go to export to sd card i dont get the option for csv file, is it sometin im missin.

The option doesn't specifically say "Export to CSV file". When you use the export to SD card option, a CSV file is created.
