Help google contacts

hello everyone,

i have a galaxy s2 running ics on it.
when i create a new contact it asks me where i want to save it and i click on "google contacts".
i recently added a new contact, clicked on google contact as the destination and even when i look it up in the cell contacts it has a little google symbol next to it indicating it's saves on my google account.

however,when i log into gmail contacts from my computer i don't see the new contact i added. i tried clicking on "merge with google" on my cell but it pops the meesage "no phone account contacts to merge with google account" and as apposed to my former gingerbread os i don't see any synch button.

so how do i synch new contacts with google?

You've probably turned off sync, and you've not done a manual synchronise.

look in settings>accounts+sync

the problem was that once i changed from gingerbread to ics i did check under settings>>>data and synch that goolg is marked as synched, but what i didn't know is that if u click google u have specfications of what exactly you want to synch and "contacs" was unticked.
