Google Debit Card

I love my Wallet card. I believe that 2.9% goes toward the fees Visa charges for balance transfers and stuff. I also, won't lie, LOVE the looks I get from clerks and the "is this real?" glances I get.

Yes. When I used it to buy food at my college the person looked at it like OMG your so cool SF

Think if I pulled out a Google Wallet card to pay for something, it would more likely be a blank stare from from the cashier. Actually can you use the Google debit card outside of the US? - is it Visa or Mastercard and does it do chip & pin? Because if it doesn't you're not likely to be able to use it in Europe at least. Like when I tried to pay for something in the UK with my Bank of Inner Mongolia UnionPay card. The cashier sort of laughed and said "What's that?"

When I use it, it goes like this:
*Hands Cashier the card.*
Cashier says, "Why are you using a debit card are you stupid or some crap I don't take this get out and never come again or go and--"
My mind goes off, I leave with the card, go to the competitors.
Competitor Cashier: "Oh wow! This is one of those new Google Wallet cards! Yes, we do take these here!"
I leave happily and never go to the one that doesn't accept Google Wallet.
Sometimes people are so rude.

Wallet card is a MasterCard and sometimes I need my wallet pin. No RFID chip in it though

If it's identifiable as Mastercard, no places that take Mastercard or Visa should be having a problem, because they don't recognise the Wallet logo or whatever. Same when you use a Mastercard from one bank in another country, the cashier may not recognise the issuer, but they should recognise the Mastercard or Visa logos.

I know that it also serves as MasterCard, but the place I went didn't accept it and they were super rude. Ugh.

That rather surprises me in the US, a place that doesn't accept card payments. Or is it that Wallet is treated differently to Mastercard? I have a pre-paid Travellex debit card, which is a Mastercard. AFAIK that's taken anywhere that takes Mastercard, the world over.

Some places only take Visa for the oddest reason, so I have to leave, they point it out so rudely.
Too bad for them, was about to spend like $20.

I been using this google wallet and I think it's safer than to use ur bank atm. I can control the money I put in and it alerted me asap via apps. Would be nice to be use outside usa.

I just tried using the card at a Gas Mart and it was declined, twice. I put money on it a couple of weeks ago.

It turns out, I hadn't Activated it yet, even though I could add money to it. Duhhhhh.
