Help Google docs??

Are you trying to do this while offline? You can only write/edit documents when online.

Are you able to open any kind of document? When online, you should be seeing the word 'Edit', e.g. in the top right of the screen if a text file or in each row if a spreadsheet.

(Google are working on an offline version. It was slated for release last month, but hasn't yet appeared.)

I am not able download any attachment, can anyone please help me how to download the attachment by gmail in android mobile.

Yes i was talking about google docs the native app or directly in the browser.

just sad that i need to buy a big app just ti edit 2 cells in a spreadsheet once in a while. just thought i seen that people write that you can now use google docs on android.

this also take me away of getting a android tablet if i cannot use the google docs on it, then whats the half the point in having one?

Google pull youself together get it working.

Any of you guys or girls have experience with QuickOffice Pro and how good it works with google docs? and do i need to download the docs or can it online edit like google docs can itself on PC's??

I have Quickoffice. It came as part of the stock apps on the phone. It's not Microsoft Office by any stretch of the imagination. It'll do the basics, and I mean basics, and that's all. However, it only works with Microsoft Office files. It won't work with the native Google Docs files.

As an app, QuickofficePro looks like it does a few more things than Quickoffice and more than Google Docs, but remember a Google Docs offline version is on the way which should work with both Microsoft Office apps and native Google files.

I'm still trying to see what you're getting at. The files I was able to edit were Microsoft Office files, not native files made with Google Docs. So, I created a native Google Doc spreadsheet online with my PC (I can also create one on my phone), then opened the Google Docs app on my phone, refreshed the list of Documents and the file I'd just made appeared and I was able to edit it. This is all while online on my phone. I can't do this offline. Is this what you mean?

No i am only talking about the online edit. i dont need to edit my docs offline.
what i do right now is that i use my 3g connection log into google docs and open a spreadsheet i created original on pc on google docs.

The sheet always works on pc but on the phone it does not accept the numbers i write when i do a edit and the calculation lower on the sheet then make a mess and end up with numbers that don't make sense.
And thoes number are there if i then log on to the doc on a pc. So it is not only a graphic error.

I really dont understand why but maybe is it that specif spreadsheet i made that android devices is just not happy about??

I've been trying to replicate your issue but it looks like Google Docs is playing ball with me. Perhaps it is, as you say, the particular spreadsheet you've created. No idea why that should be. Does this happen with your other Google Doc spreadsheets?
