I'm a guide on Google! It's not alot of work I just input what I have been too! It isn't very time consuming and you can do it when you want!

What's that all about? Looks like real work.

Anybody in that program?

Well I'm in that program and all it is that Google Tracks your location and if any known businesses pop up in your route of where you stop it will send you an email asking you about how you rate that business. It asks you questions like "Does this place have good parking"?. "Does this place have handicap access"? ...." Is this place nice to take family members" and so on, and it has a pop up with stars for you to rate that business. And on map you rate from the different locations.... you start to gain points for your reviews . I'm at 6000 + points on my travels and I'm raked as a Local Guide in my city and state. NOTE: By joining this program your device is being tracked every time you leave your residence which it will ask you that too before you begin. Google keeps a log on your every movement of that device you're logged on. I think it's pretty neat I sometimes use it as an alibi to show to stupid girlfriends to show where I've been on a draw out diagram on Google Maps.

Also I tried it with three different devices to see how Google tracks your location and this is my findings. On each of the mobile devices I was logged in on with my Google account, I had two other parties counting myself to go in three different directions and from each device Google showed a color coded route for each one with the device's name and model connected to it on Google's Map.

Oh and I forgot to add, by becoming a local guide business see your rating as a local guide and some businesses send Google coupons to send to you for what whatever businesses you have visited that's listed on Google Maps, 20% off on dinner or movies or whatever the business has to offer.
