Google I/O Day 2 [Android Day?!]

Since noone has brought it up...consipracy theory...everyone was speculating that Google would give out free N1 with 2.2 install...now that it's the EVO...what's the chance that 2.2 will be on it? I mean they announced the giveaway of the EVO right after all of the Froyo features. Makes me wonder...

They're trying to do this whole google tv thing, and it uses a wireless keyboard to run it as a universal remote, and they cant get the keyboard to work. They asked everybody to turn off their cell phones to not interfere with the signal lol.

I would have thought that Smart voice-search based on keywords, Enhanced voice recognition and New voice recognition allows you to control Froyo. "Call Fifth Street restaurant"...would mean that BT smart dialing is included? Am I being just to hopeful *cries*
 
They're finally tying Google TV back into Android. Your android device can work as the remote for Google TV. Complete with voice searching for TV shows. Pretty nifty.

I would have to change my pants again if EVO came preloaded with 2.2, or the udpate is right after release.

And to correct an earlier post....


Google + EVO = take over the world(Ok US mainly lol).
 
So who else wants to see a live streaming VID of what Steve Jobs is doing right now!

WOW google is not holding anything back. I gotta have google TV!
 
It's still going. They've spent the last 45 minutes talking about Google TV. Amusingly they're having huge issues with their Bluetooth keyboards not working, so their demos are getting interupted and hosed.
 
Just as I thought, 2.2 is more dangerous to apple than simply the evo. What google is doing very well, is courting the developers with this "open" platform, pushing apple into a "closed" corner -conceptually at least

I cant even imagine what 2.2 on the EVO would be like.....if 2.2 is a huge boost in speed and EVO is actually the fastest phone in the market....man Sprint might just kick some serious butt.

All I pray for is that Sprint/HTC are already working on whatever they need to get 2.2 out quick.
 
corporate warfare is no joke. This is like a soap opera or something. I am really looking forward to watching apple's now, which I have never done.

All of this fighting should mean better innovation for us, at a cheaper price.
