Google keyboard capitalises random words

Hi all

I've had a search around the web and I can't find the answer to a problem that is driving me nuts.

I have the standard Google Keyboard set on my Samsung GS3 and it is randomly capitalising words. Not the whole word, just the first letter. Something similar to the below:

The quick Brown fox jumps Over the Lazy dog

I'm not putting a double space in or anything like that. I'm swiping, finishing the word then swiping the next word and it does this all the time. I have to then type each letter in to make sure it doesn't add the random capital letter at the start, but it will still suggest I change it to the capital version but if I then hit space it accepts the lower case version.

What is going on and how do I fix this?!

Thanks

What am I looking for in there? Is there an option to randomly stick a capital letter on the start of every 4th word?

Sorry for the sarcasm! But genuinely, what am I looking for in the settings to fix this?

I would check auto cap. Make sure there's nothing in all the keyboard settings that would cause that. Are you using any 3rd party messaging apps?

It could be an app or some type of sw glitch you will want to start ruling stuff out if all settings look correct you can clear data or cache on the Samsung keyboard. You do that in the app manager in settings. Have you recently downloaded anything? If all else fails you may need to factory reset.
