Is there any way around 2 Droids Eris' sharing the same gmail account but being able to show up as different locations with google latitude?

Yep, make another gmail account and put it on the other phone. Seriously? It takes like a minute...

I have no clue why your sharing a Google account with someone else.

But yes you need two Google accounts for Latitude to work.

Well the reason for sharing is when we got the phones the verizon rep said we couldn't have 2 separate emails on one account. Since then I've created a new one but still mainly use the original account.

You're verizon rep was confused. My wife and I are on the same account, but we have different Gmail addresses for our phones. I suspect you'd find things to be much simpler if you switch one of the phones to the other account you created.
