Help Google Login Pop-Up

I apologize if this has been asked already. I searched and using the terms that I thought would work, I get a gazillion hits. After scanning the first few pages of hits, I didn't see anything remotely similar. So here we go...

Since before the update, but way after the 893 update. I have been getting a pop-up saying that my login to Google was incorrect, please enter the correct password. I was concerned about privacy to begin with, but when I try to hit my mail with this pop-up still open, I cannot get into my mail. If I enter my password, everything works fine for a while, but it eventually comes back. Sometimes its up every time I turn the phone on and some times it goes days between popping up. Anybody seen anything like this? Its annoying, but I can tolerate it, but if there is something that I can do to fix it, I'd rather go that route.

Thanks,
BigRedGonzo

I have found two possible solutions for your problem.

1. Log into your GMail account from your PC and authorize the hanset access to the account. I think this is related to two-step authentication with gmail.

2. change your gmail password on through your PC and then chenge it on your phone. The person who posted this seemed to have an issue similar to yours where it asked with varying frequency. This may be related to someone (or a bot) trying to brute force your gmail account.

Please let me know if either of these worked for you.
