google mail on htc eris

I imported my yahoo mail to my gmail and i cant figure out how to turn the notifcation on when i get an email for my yahoo in my gmail.....can anyone please help me...thank you in advance!!!!!!

You can sent the phone up to just receive emails straight from yahoo to your phone much easyer

Ok this is what I have as my settings go to mail tab open choose new account then your yahoo email address hit next then put your password in and choose to set up manually ok your going to use imap not pop ok it's at the top of the page scroll up to change it now scroll back down to IMAP server and type imap.mail.yahoo.com security none port 143 then hit next this is your incoming settings it should go through ok now for your outgoing settings scroll down to smtp server and type smtp.mail.yahoo.com security ssl port 465 then hit next if this last step does not work try this for stmp setting smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo security is the same and port is the same hit next and it should go through
