Help Google Map/Phone Call issue

I just did a 5 hour trip yesterday (first road trip with the Nexus) and I had my Nexus in the car mount, using Google maps, and Navigation. I received a phone call and put the call on speaker phone. About 5 minutes into the call, the phone rebooted. I thought it was a 1 time thing so I set up my Navigation again and returned the call...again 5 minutes rebooted. I went another 3 hours with just Navigation no reboots, but then another phone call and again I got the reboot. Has anyone else had this issue? Just using speaker phone with no navigation, the phone is fine, just using Navigation, the phone is fine, but using both together causes my phone to reboot. The phone is not rooted and I am using pure stock, no kernals. Anyone else experienced this? The phone has had no other random reboot issues. At the time I was in 3G, but I had CDMA/LTE selected, just no 4G signal where I was. Thanks for any help.

My guess is you discovered a bug, the Gmaps should have just shut down gracefully.

Note: you can't use data and make a phone call at the same time on 3G, you need LTE for that.

My guess, is accepting the phone call cut off data to Gmaps and it ran out of cached data.

I knew about the data with voice on 3G, but I used to get phone calls all the time on my Droid X while using Nav and I didn't get the reboot. Of course on my Droid X, the phone would randomly reboot just using Google Maps and Nav. So, I guess its a step up lol.
