Google Map Traffic Layer

Has anyone else noticed how disgustingly accurate/sweet the Google Maps Traffic Layer is?

I put it on my dash and when it's green, the highway is at least 50 mph +..

I noticed that the second my gps triangle entered the orange/yellow, it slowed down to about 25 mph..

Immediately after leaving the yellow, it went back up to 50+..

Everyday before I leave work, with a swype and a click, I know whether or not I should be getting on the highway or not.

Right now it's red - I'll be taking the lake home today.

Holy crud muffin I love this thing.

I have yet to test it due to lack of a proper device to mount my phone in my car but this was def one of the features I was looking forward to when I took the plunge into smartphones. Glad to hear it works good.

I've been screwed by it on more than one occasion, but that's LA traffic for you I guess. I wish there was a SigAlert app like on the iPhone, I've always found that more accurate for freeways here.

It is wicked accurate...I don't bother with my Garmin anymore my Inc navigator is much more accurate, finds satellites quicker, and warns me with more time. Go G00gle!

It would be even more useful if it could auto reroute you to avoid traffic.
I mean if you don't know how to get to your destination than use of traffic layer is almost useless, because you still have to go to the point of your destination the way it guides you and for now it keeps guiding you through the traffic.
