Google Maps 3.2.1 Update

So when Google released the new maps that gave Navigation to Android 1.6 level devices, I didn't think much of it. I heard some people loaded the new version on their Droid without problems. When ever I would look at my downloaded apps in the Market, Google Maps was never there, so I didn't think that 3.2.1 had anything new for the Droid.

Just today, it's there, saying "Update available"... I wonder if there are any changes for us Droid folk from version 3.2.0 the phone shipped with?

I installed it a few days ago with no issues. I am also curios about any changes

I know it includes Google Latitude capability, but I don't know if that's new in 3.2.1.

Google latitude was in the original release for the Droid.

This release also includes the new Layers feature, which lets you overlay geographical information on the map. View My Maps, transit lines, Wikipedia articles about places, and more.

The layers thing was in the shipping version as well.

It may simply bring all the Gmaps on all Android phones into the same version number.
