Google Maps 5

I've just seen google maps 5 and it looks amazing. It says that it is out now on the android market but when I type it in to the market I don't seem to be able to find it. I have installed google maps already and have updates to download automatically but nothing is happening.

I go to new york to have a look around but nothing is in 3D.

How am I going to find the building from Ghostbusters!!!

Please help.

Try the one you already have. Open it, go to New York or somewhere similar the has the 3d buildings and drag 2 fingers down the screen. This should tilt it if you then zoom in and pan around that is when you should see the 3d vector buildings.

Also if you go into Settings> Applications and find maps in there you will be able to see what version number you are running.

Not many cities have been recreated yet in 3D which actually makes google a lil slack releasing the 3D aspect before getting many cities on it...theres only 3 in the whole of the UK that are in 3D..

As to it being in the market, well it should be, I just searched for it myself and just found it.

Also be aware that the 'rotation' feature does now work on the Desire, there *IS* a work around for this, but its not very smooth at all.
