Yes, it has Google maps and Navigation preloaded.

It should be loaded and it's Free in the market if it's not.

You can, but it's 10 bucks a month and not as good as Google's.

GMaps/Nav is much better than VZNav. I removed VZNav from my phone as soon as I rooted haha

You can also get copilot US for $5 in the market if you drive in areas without 3G coverage (maps are downloaded to your SD card so you don't need a data connection like you do w google or vznav). It's not as good as google nav but it's handy to have if you find yourself in the boonies.

I prefer VZ Navigator. Google Nav doesn't show you how far you have left in the total trip, which really annoyed me. You have to hit a seperate screen to get the info, and I use it mostly on my motorcycle so playing around with the phone while riding is a hassle.
