Help google maps? need help

I've had my Dinc. since day one and love this phone. I've never had any issues with the phone but recently have noticed that google maps is showing up in my battery usage. When I hit batter use gmaps shows up at 91% or so... I don't have GPS on and rarely use gmaps. Any ideas or maybe some setting I turned on?

I've noticed the same - you say you figured it out??

I'm guessing that it's a quirk of the OS showing gmaps as the icon for ALL app use, but that's only a hunch... What was your solution?

I posted a thread about this the other day, and after I found several other threads on it; so you are not alone.

Mind me asking how you solved it? Mine seems to have gone away for now, but I don't know what I did to cause it. haha. I'd like to know what fixes it in case it happens again.
