google maps problem

hello all dear friends
i have a big problem with the google maps on my x10
if there is no wi fi connection ( eg: when i am inside my car ) the maps does not apeare the screen is clean
when i return to the home or work ( the internet connection is avaliable)
i must re open all the areas i need to reload the maps but when i close the application i must restart from the biggening
what i shall do pls help me
i badly need the maps on my x10
i try to download maps from the website but it does'nt end the problem
so i need your help

Does anyone know if the newest Google map (the one with cache) works on Eclair? Sounds like that's his problem.

G maps et G nav works just fine for me on 2.1

You need to use your data connection for maps, so if it isn't enabled you're not going to be able to use it.
