Google Maps Question

A friend of mine has a Tom Tom, it had a feature on it that I thought was pretty cool, you could change the navigation icon(arrow). Has anyone found a way to alter/customize the google maps icon...a car, bike etc.....?

We have some of the best developers, I know they can find a way to do it.

Not really a demand for changing the icon. I would bet ya over 90% of the GPS systems in vehicles today has the default arrow displayed. Now if they would display your speed on the phone gps now that would be something many people would want.

Yeah, I surely hope Google implements this. I mean, even VZ Nav does this...I just refuse to pay for it. But I burned up the free trial, just because I could, and that was the first thing I noticed. Well, that, and the voice didn't pronounce "Co Rt 17" as "court 17"

I'm sure it would be a cool feature to implement, but hardly a deal breaker on a feature of the Android OS like FREE constantly updated maps and navigation. And, automated voice pronunciation certainly has a LONG way to go, most of the time it's funny though!
