Help Google Maps real time updating

why doesnt this work on Wildfire? i have tried the real time updating on my phone (google maps, latitude) and it wont let me use it, yet the version is 5.0 on the phone?

i have tried to identify peoples locations as i have real time updating works on the Xperia x10 and HTC desire

but why not Wildfire?

does it not support real time updating yet?
 
I have version 5.0.0. (#5014) of Maps and real time updaitng is working fine in Latitude. I can even set a time limit on real-time updating individal contacts which is a feature I've nvever seen before.

My firmware = 2.2.1 on Vodafone UK

If you mean can I be tracked in real time from another Wildfire the answer is yes, ditto on my blog with the WordPress latitude plugin. Never heard of "gifgaff", presumably you are outside the UK?
 
Hi,
On the same note, how can i access the google maps without going on to internet. I saw in prom video of HTC desire that for maps you don't need any wireless or 3 G connection.
Does the same thing is available for widfire.
