google maps wont update & bus routes missing

Hello everyone,

I have an lg motion with Google maps installed. For a good while now been using maps to get around town (I live in NYC). Maps had both the bus routes and schedule. About 3 months ago I heard there was Google maps version 7 was out but the play store won't update it. It showed open or uninstall. Maps 6 is great but about a month ago I found a maps 7 apk and downloaded it. Maps 7 looks cool but I wasn't able to get the minor updates and last week I tried to map out a route to a movie theater by bus and the only option available was walking. Now whenever I tap on a bus stop I don't even get the schedules. I reverted back to maps 6 but still no bus routes and schedule
driving directions work fine though.

I don't know what's going on...any help would be greatly appreciated

Somebody correct me if i'm wrong but i do believe the newer updates are for jellybean devices

i used to get bus schedules and routes on the old version but now its gone

Not sure if it helps, but my absolute favorite (and far superior to Google Maps) public transit apps are Transit and Moovit. Both available for NYC and free. Full routes and real-time tracking.

Thanks, I've downloaded both. Hopefully Google fixes this problem soon.

I used to have Google Maps 7.x (don't ask me what x, not sure), but after reset my phone I haven't been able to updated to version 7.

The version that have right now is 6.14.4, which I hate it because I am so used to the version 7.
