So i'm living in the UK and just use Google maps for SatNav. Now at some point this year i am heading to the US for a trip and was wondering as long as i set up the international thing with Orange would i be able to use Google Maps without any changes to do the US?

I thought you could just switch on a package with like Orange etc that just adds international calling/usage and still remains "free" under contract. If that makes sense

Might do, I'm on Vodafone and only used it once briefly so didn't have a roaming arrangement sorted out

At the mo' Sygic Aura is only €19.99 for US - might be cheaper to get that just for the trip.

Just swapped over to it myself. Big fan of Google Nav but miss the road speeds on the display as I had on my TomTom.

CoPilot Live for the whole USA is only about

Those of us that loved TomTom, I recommend using Sygic. The interface is almost the same and speed cams (or any other POIs) are nicely displayed.

Using Google Maps as a navigation tool in abroad is a NO-GO for me!
