Google Messages settings toggles

This sounds stupid but it's hard for me to see. On Google Messages settings, when is a setting on, when the toggle switch is left or right?
 
Yeah and while your at it, why not use a different messaging app that you can enlarge the text to any height you want?
Go to the play store and download Textra.
