Help Google Movies problem

tgallife

Lurker
I rented a movie on Google movies a few days ago. When I tried to play or download the movie, I had a message telling me that rooted devices are not supported (error 49). My prime is not rooted - I checked several different ways...

I contacted Google support and was told to reboot and even restore the tablet. It did not fix the issue. I sent them the logs with "bug reporter". I have been waiting since then...
I also sent an email to ASUS but my hopes are low.

They have refunded the rental.

I travel a lot and want to download movies. Google movies seems to be the only way to do this.

Has anybody encountered this problem? Do you think I should return the machine?

Thanks.

Could people tell me if they managed to rent from Google movies on their prime?

If so, I might simply exchange the unit.

I haven't tried renting yet but it is curious that you got a response saying your device was rooted:confused:

I rented 'Money Ball' from Google a couple of weeks ago, and it downloaded and played fine.

My problem was I was right behind the wing on an airlplane and the buds I had didn't block out the noise. I couldn't hear, and gave up after about 15 minutes.

A wasted $3.99!
