Root Google Music app issues

Had to uninstall and reinstall on Droid Charge to get it to install correctly.

Tried that, also tried using temp root remover b4 installing(thinking it was like movies in the market, wont function as root) but that didn't help either

I finally got it to work, idk how just installed and uninstalled the old one like 100 times and finally it worked

Here's how I did it:

You need to delete Music from /system/data. File Manager wouldn't do this for me as you need more than just root privileges. Easiest way was to use Titanium and uninstall Music from there (although I read Root Explorer will work too). Then reboot.

When it comes back up you can simply install Music from the Market.

Note: I had no data, i.e., music, on my device. So backup your data as needed. I wouldn't think you'd have to, as Google Music is "cloudified", but it just occurred to me.

BTW, I'm running Liquid 3.1.

thanks man, im running liquid 3.1 and this worked for me. the normal method would not uninstall it, TB did the job. worked perfectly.

THANKS!

anyone know what the differences are?

I believe it syncs any music you purchase thru the market with the app now, if the music is not on the SD it will show up on your cloud
