Google nav and bluetooth

I use google nav which I find brilliant, I have a bluetooth radio in the car which works well for phonecalls, the problem being that google nav sound will play through bluetooth only when on a call, which then drowns out the call, if not on a call it plays through the phones speaker, is there anyway of changing this?
 
What bluetooth stereo do you have? I installed the Kenwood KDC BT60U last night and am intrigued whether this is going to be an issue.
