You can use hacked GMaps ("brut" version) to enable navigation outside USA and UK.
I've tested (in Europe, don't know the coverage for India) NDrive (had problems with GPS 1 year ago), then Sygic (this was really good) and now I'm using Navdroyd (cheap, OSM data, offline routing is good, but the program is not so fancy like other navigations).
You can try some navigation demo from market: navigation | All | By date, Androlib, Android Applications and Games directory
or try some with OpenStreetMaps maps: Android - OpenStreetMap Wiki
