Help Google Navigation not working

I navigated to a store earlier today using google navigation and it worked fine. When I tried to to use it going home though, the app would just say "searching for gps" and at another point said "Google navigation not available in this area". Remember, I navigated to the store with no problems...and I've navigated many times with the app since I got the phone. I'm trying it right now and it still says "searching for gps"

Any ideas guys? Can you test yours and see if its working?


EDIT: I got it working!

Here's what I did: Go to maps, hit settings, my location. Then go to navigation...should work now. This program is in beta, so their are some quirks.

Hey, i m using HTC Wildfire S...I m facing the same problem...
I did the same as you told:
"Here's what I did: Go to maps, hit settings, my location. Then go to navigation...should work now. This program is in beta, so their are some quirks."

But still doesn't work for me...
Pls suggest me a solution...
