Home Screen Navigation/Destination Shortcuts
Well, I'm sure to half the people this will be "obvious", and the other half this will be "I had no idea I could do that", because until a second ago I was in the 2nd camp.
Coming from VZNavigator, it appeared that google navigation lacks any way to save a location. Seemed like a big oversight. It had something called "Starred Items" and I was going to look into that, but then it occurred to me that it's always been kinda wonky that I had to keep an entry for someone in the phone book, and another entry for them in VZNavigator.
So I looked in the phones regular phonebook. If you edit an entry, then under "Others" click "Add", there's a "Postal Address" option. You can put in their address from there.
When you want to navigate to there, you can view the contact and a "View Home address" link will show up (or "View Work address, etc". Click on it, it starts up Google Maps. Click on the Blue "Up" arrow that appears on the screen and it will navigate to that entries address.
It's still a little clunky (you have to wait for google maps to load before navigating), and if anyone has any other tips I'd love to hear them - but that's how it works!

Hopefully they can get it included soon.
