Help Google Nexus 7 2013 32GB 3G/4G/LTE WiFi problems ?

How to resolve unable to connect with WiFi Home Network. Goes through normal Connection process-shows signal, then disconnects after running Authentication

Tried many times, checked Home WiFi password. Cleared and reset.
Nexus 7 WiFi and LTE is UK Version.

Modem is TP-Link TD-W8960N
Help Please ?

Very disappointed in Nexus 7. With 3G/4G/LTE leads to an expectation of Phone/SMS capability- something that is standard on Samsung Tablets.

I blame reviewers, so called tech experts to highlight capabilities or lack thereof of devices.
Now going backwards to carrying 2 devices. After getting over my frustration, what would be a good Cell Phone to match with the 2013 Google Nexus 7 ??
 
Yes. You can set it to only allow specific devices to connect to the modem. Each device has a unique MAC address. It's one of the most common reasons why people can't connect when they think they should be able to.
 
Thanks, If I enable MAC to allow for Nexus 7 connection will I interfere with my Home Network which supports PC, Laptop, 2 x printers and Smartphones ?

Yes. If you enable MAC Address Filtering you must enter the MAC addresses of each device that will connect to your network. If you have secured your home network with a password, MAC Address Filtering would be an ADDITIONAL layer of security. Since you have it disabled, that is not the reason you are having problems.
 
I agree with tukatz. Since MAC filtering is disabled, it should automatically let the tablet connect. Something else is stopping it. Have you tried rebooting the modem?
 
Thank You for your help. Took modem in to local agents- Major Firmware Update. All works fine on re-establishing Network.
