Help Google Nexus (ICS) how-tos.

Hi all, new to Android and am struggling to get a few things done.

I sync my contacts with my google contacts, however all the images of my contacts are low-res, I thought ICS brought hi-res to the table. I've tried uploading a new image for 1 of my contacts through g-mail on the web, but it came out low-res on the phone. Any ideas?

I'm having trouble organising my gallery hierarchy. I have a number of top level albums, each with their own sub albums, e.g. 2010, 2011 (top level), with sub albums such as Christmas, Easter etc. But when I put the files onto my Nexus there is no hierarchy, i.e. it displays Christmas, Easter etc.

With over 200 sub-albums I'd like the first view in the Gallery to be a list of the years and then click on those to get the sub-albums.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Google Contacts only syncs low-resolution photos. The phone supports high resolution photos, so if you want to use high resolution photos, you'll have to turn off the regular syncing and add photos on your phone as you want to. I know, it's stupid that they now support high res photos on the phone, but their very own syncing service doesn't support it. C'est la vie.

No idea on the sub-albums thing, I don't believe the gallery supports it but I could be wrong.

Thats the one thing that I dislike about Android. Crazy how Google shrinks your contact pics to low resolution after syncing. I began syncing contacts through Facebook instead. Not high resolution, but much better than the pixalting images I was getting through Google.
