Google Now never showed up.
I think the problem is that ES File Explorer has since been updated (I used version 3.0.3). I checked all the Root settings and gave it Super User access. When I tried to paste the Google Now system folder into the /root folder, I couldn't because there was no space in the folder.
I then tried with ES File Explorer (Cupcake 1.5) and FX File Explorer with the Root add on. I was able to paste into the /root folder, but never got asked to Overwrite. I continued the steps anyways, but there there was no Velvet.adk. When finished, the old Google Search app was gone, and no Google Now. I rebooted phone and the Google Now system folder was gone from /root folder.
I got the old Search app back by giving GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk.bak its old name back.
Any one know how to paste the Google Now system folder into /root, so it will ask for overwrite?
My Lucid is rooted and on ICS 4.0.4
